Ajijic Special Events at Casa Del Sol
Our beautifully renovated spaces have created one of the top venues for Ajijic events. Overnight guests as well as the public may join us monthly for our wine paring events, weekly for Sunday Brunch, attend one of our special art events, Flamenco nights or rock to a Blues Supper Club. Our venue is also a wonderful place to host your own Ajijic event or private party.

Premium Wine Pairing Events:
Monthly we offer a pairing of three wines with three dishes especially designed to complement the wines. We invite both our guests and the public to these special events. Three premium wines are accompanied by a delicious menu prepared for the evening by our chef, Alex Rojas. The pourings are generous, enough to accompany the three servings, and usually consist of a white wine and two red wines.
Although the wine bar features only Mexican wines, for the pairings we serve wines from around the world. Recently we served Australian wines and another month featured three Cabernet Sauvignons from three Countries. Like the wines, our plates are generous, and you will leave having enjoyed a three-course meal. The wines are curated and presented by a local Mexican woman who is also a sommelier.

Flamenco Nights:
Once every other month we invite Flamenco dancers and musicians from Guadalajara to perform at the Inn. Both a male and female flamenco dancer display their artistry on a special wooden stage, and they are accompanied by a captivating singer, and accomplished guitarist and percussionist. Dinner is served from 5:30 to 7:00pm with the performace beginning at 7:00pm..
Meet the Artist:
Every other month Casa del Sol is proud to offer a two-month showing of a local artist. It is an opportunity to meet the artists, hear them discuss their pieces, and purchase whatever captures your imagination.
“Three Artists One Brush” promoted the work of a Mexican teacher, considered in the top 50 artists in the State, as well as the art of two of his students. Wine is available and afterwards a meal is served by reservation.
Special Events:
Upon occasion Special Events are offered to the guests and community. For example, a Master Class in Oil Painting included the opportunity to work with a renowned artist from Guadalajara in a three-hour class where each student completed an entire painting and had the opportunity to enter a Raffle for the Artist’s work.

Event Venue:
Are you celebrating a special occasion while in Ajijic? Our wine bar and the adjacent Sala are the perfect setting for a private party. We would be thrilled to host your family and friends for a celebration of a birthday, anniversary, graduation, rehearsal dinner party or a family reunion. In Addition, stop by the Wine Bar 4-8 pm Tuesday through Saturday, and join us for Brunch on Sundays! Open to the public, overnight stays are not required for the Wine Bar and Special Events.
