Ajijic Special Events at Casa Del Sol
Our beautifully renovated spaces have made Casa del Sol Inn one of Ajijic’s favorite event venues. Overnight guests and the public are welcome to join us for monthly wine pairing dinners, weekly Sunday Brunch, and a rotating calendar of special events including art workshops, Flamenco nights, and our lively Blues Supper Club. We also love hosting private gatherings and celebrations and would be happy to help you plan your own Ajijic event.
Special Events
Throughout the year, we offer unique experiences for both guests and the local community. Past events have included a Master Class in oil painting led by a renowned Guadalajara artist, where participants completed a full painting during a three-hour session and enjoyed the chance to win an original artwork in a raffle.
Premium Wine Pairing Events
Each month, we host an intimate wine pairing dinner featuring three thoughtfully selected wines paired with three dishes designed to complement each pour. These events are open to guests and the public and showcase generous tastings alongside a three-course menu prepared by our chef, Alex Rojas.
While our wine bar focuses on Mexican wines, pairing dinners highlight selections from around the world. Recent evenings have featured Australian wines and Cabernet Sauvignons from three different countries. Wines are curated and presented by a local Mexican sommelier, making each event both educational and delicious.

Flamenco Nights:
Once every other month we invite Flamenco dancers and musicians from Guadalajara to perform at the Inn. Both a male and female flamenco dancer display their artistry on a special wooden stage, and they are accompanied by a captivating singer, and accomplished guitarist and percussionist. Dinner is served from 5:30 to 7:00pm with the performance beginning at 7:00pm.
Meet the Artist:
Every other month Casa del Sol is proud to offer a two-month showing of a local artist. It is an opportunity to meet the artists, hear them discuss their pieces, and purchase whatever captures your imagination.
“Three Artists One Brush” promoted the work of a Mexican teacher, considered in the top 50 artists in the State, as well as the art of two of his students. Wine is available and afterwards a meal is served by reservation.
Event Venue:
Are you celebrating a special occasion while in Ajijic? Our wine bar and the adjacent Sala are the perfect setting for a private party. We would be thrilled to host your family and friends for a celebration of a birthday, anniversary, graduation, rehearsal dinner party or a family reunion.
