Galo de Allende Goat Farm Tours
Tour the interesting Dairy Goat Farm with beautiful lake views and taste their yogurt (with granola and berries) in the morning and their many cheeses (with wine) in the afternoon. The adventurous can feed and milk the goats. Every Saturday. More info about the Farm is available on their website.
Horseback Riding
Guided Horseback riding in and around Ajijic with horses delivered right to the front door of Casa del Sol! Available daily.
Spa Experiences
- Thermal Waters are located a short taxi ride from the hotel both with full spa options.
- The elegant Monte Coxala, located in the hills overlooking the lake, has many thermal pools, an underground grotto-steam room, and a (Japanese temperature) hot soaking pool. End your day with guacamole and a margarita while resting in lounge chairs placed in the shallow waters of a beautiful swimming pool overlooking the lake and mountains. Available daily, by reservation.
- The San Juan Cosala Balnearios is located directly on the lake and offers many huge hot pools, some just for adults, some just for children and some mixed. The temperature of the various pools varies from 94 to 104 degrees. They also have a natural cave steam room and several Jacuzzi’s.

Walking Tour Ajijic will take you to the historic icons and cultural attractions of our Pueblo Magico. Saturdays by appointment.
Electrical Bicycle Rentals
Electrical Bicycle Rentals are age and experience-appropriate for anyone interested in having extra mobility while exploring the area or as a taxi alternative. Rental price includes helmets and locks. Daily.
Kayak Lake Chapala
Kayak on the Lake with a guide for an individual or the whole family (maximum 6 people). Daily with prior reservations and subject to weather conditions.
Guided Hiking & Rock Climbing
Guided hiking (2.5 hours) or rock climbing (4 hours) for all levels of ability. Individuals and families’ welcome. This tour is especially beautiful in the rainy season when the waterfalls are cascading. Reservations required.
Mezcala Island Tours
Tour Mezcala Island with a guide and explore the fascinating history of this pre-Columbian island and its chapel, fort, and old barracks. Minimum 2 people; maximum 4; by reservation.
