Located on the first floor behind decorative wrought iron doors, Casa del Sol Inn’s intimate Ajijic Wine Bar is our newest amenity. This stylish, welcoming space invites wine lovers to explore exceptional Mexican varietals and blends curated by local sommelier Ceci Rodriguez.
Enjoy a glass or bottle of fine Mexican wine, a fresh lime margarita, or a hand-crafted cocktail from our bartender Efra, including his award-winning Jalisco Cadillac Margarita.
Heading out to dinner in Ajijic? Start the evening by gathering at Casa del Sol Inn for a drink before you head out. The wine bar is open to inn guests and the public from 4:00–8:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
Comfortable bar stools that were hand-crafted in Tonala allow guests to sit directly at the bar or gather at the adjacent, window seating. Paintings, textiles or photography from local artisans adorn the walls and add an element of whimsy or drama. You may choose to sit in the actual bar or take a bottle of wine up to the mirador to watch the sunset. If you decide to be seated in front of the fireplace in the Sala, you will find the architectural skylight and sculptures add to the ambience and make for a completely lovely place to savor a cocktail or wine with friends.
Premium Wine Pairings & Events: We frequently host an evening of international wine pairing presented by wine makers, distributors, or our sommelier. Meet the Artists events are another favorite here at Casa del Sol. On Sunday mornings, Brunch is served. Our wine bar and the adjacent Sala are also the perfect setting for a private party.
